Jay Devine
Partner
A founding partner of Devine + Partners, Jay is an experienced communications counselor with 25 years of experience advising international, national and Washington, D.C. clients. He co-founded D+P in 2003. The firm focuses on public relations, issues management and social media.
From its start in 2003, D+P has advised some of the largest companies and brands in the Mid-Atlantic region including Philadelphia Media Holdings, Sunoco Logistics, Bryn Mawr College, Firstrust Bank and Advanced Sensor Technologies (UgMO) among many others.
D+P has been on an upward trajectory since its founding. In 2007, the firm was ranked the fastest growing independent PR firm in the U.S. In 2009, while most other PR firms’ revenues declined, D+P’s revenues increase by 24% (Jack O’Dwyer’s Newsletter) and it catapulted up 18 places on the list of largest U.S. public relations firms (PR Week). In 2010, D+P launched the region’s first social media practice group.
Until co-founding the firm, he was the general manager of Tierney Communications, where he had management responsibilities for Philadelphia’s largest public relations agency. He joined Tierney in 1989 as one of its founding members.
Jay is a graduate of Georgetown University. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Neumann University, a former president and current board member of the National Adoption Center, and a board member of the Philadelphia Charity Ball and the Brent Celek Take Flight Foundation.
